remembering/modifying/developing
remembering/modifying/developing is a musical belief-making system. It consists of three parts; a series of repeated and changing performances that are live and broadcasted as video afterwards; a sculptural installation that shifts its appearance every time I perform; and lastly, the sounds produced in each performance added to the sound from the previous time, creating denser and denser musical belief. I re-inhabit the physical and psychological patterns of this performance over and over again.
Read my artist statement on remembering/modifying/developing

Most recently, remembering/modifying/developing was shown at Yokohama Triennial 2008. in Yokohama, Japan; 13 September - 30 November 2008.
7 performances as Triennale opened in September.
Furniture pieces were gathered from Tokyo area to make the haphazard sculptures. i met surprisingly organized furniture garbage on the streets. The pieces found in recycle shops were in great condition; there were general sense of care for the objects thrown away.
In this installation, TVs were hung from the mobiles and musical score was improved. Images and sounds. The more floating elements there are, the more ghostly the air becomes.
My speech was in English with dispersed Japanese words. Words do not equate the content. Yet, language has to touch people.
