A group of tiny colorful homes and machines constructed by participants in a workshop, dappled by rain
This showing includes a digital altar and offers tactile engineering experiences, exploring the soundscape of Benin City using Arduinos, microphones, speakers, and other sensors to create a reimagined auditory world. As we build these interactive sculptures, participants will develop an understanding of basic circuit principles. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment and modify their sound sculptures, encouraging trial, error, and discovery. There will also be an opportunity to explore water filtration concepts, and an exhibit of the physical artifacts of previous participants who have made this journey into the past. [This event is part of a group exhibition at The Living Gallery.]
