Our ninth Show Don’t Tell Symposium brought together artists, activists, neighbors, dreamers for three days of conversations and experiences.
From Thursday, October 15 through Saturday October 17 at the Library for Arts & Culture, audiences from around New York City engaged with the work of our Fellows and Associated Artists through workshops, presentations, performances, and panels.
Show Don’t Tell: A Symposium with The Fellowship for Utopian Practice is a yearly opportunity to get an up-close and participatory view into the projects of artists working at the intersection of their imaginations, social change, and civic participation.
All events were free and open to the public.
Thursday, October 15 • SENSORIUM
SENSORIUM, day one of Culture Push’s 2026 Show Don’t Tell Symposium, invited attendees to play with their senses – namely sound, taste, and touch through a place-based soundscape, a living, tactile dressing room, and a lovingly crafted food experience rooted in traditional practices.
Friday, October 16 • around us // inside us
For around us // inside us, day two of Culture Push’s 2026 Show Don’t Tell Symposium, the artists’ multisensory experiences called on us to examine our relationship with the natural world: that which exists within and outside of us; those we can and cannot impact or control.
Saturday, October 17 • (In)Visibility
On the third and final day of the 2026 Show Don’t Tell Symposium, during (In)Visibility Culture Push’s Fellows and Associated Artists made visible those experiences and realities which people are not always able, or willing, to see.
